Natalie Koffman

I am passionate about health and well-being. My work is focused on understanding how to live in tune with a connected body and mind, supporting a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I started my career in mental health, witnessing the impact of stress, traumatic life events, overworking and unbalanced lifestyles on all aspects of health. I have worked in an NHS Crisis service providing Shiatsu for the past 18 years, learning about the causes and effects of mental ill-health and the unquestionable interrelationship of body and mind.

I have more than 18 years’ experience as a practitioner of Shiatsu, paying attention to the whole person, and understanding all the factors that affect health and well-being. I also have 10 years’ experience as a Sports and Swedish massage therapist. I have specialised in treating the physical and emotional impact of stress (including digestion and insomnia), tension headaches, anxiety and depression. I also work with women through the journey of pregnancy and birth, and treat muscular-skeletal issues including posture, and back, neck and shoulder pain.

As a keen triathlete and Shaw method swimming teacher, I am passionate about supporting people in preparing for marathons, triathlons and other sporting events, and working with sports-related injuries. My own training informs my approach to treatment and injury prevention. I am a full and insured member of the Shiatsu Society and accredited by the Massage Training Institute and Sports Massage Association. My ongoing interest, personal training and practice in mindfulness and meditation, relaxation techniques, nutrition, Shaw method swimming, Chi and Barefoot running techniques informs my approach as a practitioner.

An original founder of Belsize Health in 2000, I still hold to our ethos of providing a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing and working with people to achieve a more balanced approach to life. I also set up Revive Onsite in 2000 and have worked in different office environments providing massage to staff. Alongside my life as a health practitioner, I am also trained as a photographer and am a practising artist.
